Registration forms and all the info you need, including show schedule is on our convention website.

The actual show and banquet are on Saturday and the garden tour on Sunday. The garden tour will include two gardens that have been featured in Tucson Lifestyles Home & Garden magazine - beautiful gardens and VERY "Tucson." You definitely will want to take advantage of this part of the convention!

We will also have discount tickets included in the 'goody bags' given to all registrants, for the well-known Randolph Golf Complex right across the street from the hotel, and discount coupons for some wonderful Tucson attractions including the famous Desert Museum (actually a natural park zoo) and the Tucson Botanical Gardens with their fabby live exotic butterfly greenhouse. You might want to spend a few extra days here in Tucson to take advantage of these offers.

We're flying our speaker for the banquet, Aurelia C. Scott, author of Otherwise Normal People: Inside the Thorny World of Competitive Rose Gardening, in from Maine. She should be a real hoot, and will be signing her book, which will be available at the show. If you already have a copy, bring it and she will sign it.

We'll also have roses and other items for sale, and vendors, good food, and of course famous Tucson Hospitality! It's sure to be a great time! Hope to see you in Tucson in April!

I sure hope many of you can make it, and thanks so much for helping us get the word out!

Schedules finalized

The schedules for Horticulture, Arrangements, and Photography have been finalized and posted to the website: http://pswdroseconvention2010.org/schedules.html

Press Release

The Rose Society of Tucson Presents
2010 Pacific Southwest District Convention & Rose Show

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CONTACT: Judith Singer
520-529-6020
520-440-7007 mobile

It has been 23 years since this spectacular annual event has been held in Tucson, which makes it very special. You can either visit the traditional way by bookmarking the URL of this blog and visiting periodically, or you can subscribe and have it delivered to you if you have an RSS feed reader or something like an iGoogle start page.

What is RSS? It is a free and easy way to get news on the web delivered to you, directly to your monitor. So instead of having to visit 14 different places to get your weather, sports, favorite photos, latest gossip, or latest political debates, you just go to one screen and see the news all collected into a single window.

Some people like to use an RSS feed reader like Google Reader, or Bloglines, and others like to combine their feeds with a customized start page like iGoogle, or My Yahoo.

The video below has a short, fun explanation of how RSS readers work.
