RST Member to Speak about History of Roses

Rose Society of Tucson member Lisa Bunker will be the featured "Food for Thought" speaker on April 8th at 12 noon at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library downtown.

Lisa will have a selection of fragrant antique and modern roses from local gardens for everyone to enjoy. She will also show a short video of RST president Terry Swartz's garden, and talk about the history of roses and rose names.

Lisa has been growing roses organically in Tucson for nearly 15 years. Her favorite rose? It's a toss-up between Verdun, William Shakespeare 2000, and Mutabilis.

Bring your lunch, the talk is free. Two-hour free parking validation will be provided for anyone who uses the Library garage located behind the library off of Alameda.

A program of the Pima County Public Library.
